  • What do you mean by "lullaby"?

    A lullaby is usually a light, slower-paced, calming tune with a repeating melody line. The specifics of each lullaby are completely individual, but expect your song to be 2-4 minutes in length. Our lullabies are instrumental only (no lyrics written) and include 4-6 different instruments.

    You can also choose to include 12 beautiful arrangements of well known traditional lullabies on your Just My Lullaby CD.

  • What if I want a song that is not a lullaby?

    In addition to beautiful lullabies, Russ specializes in Imagination Theme Songs, which are often commissioned to celebrate a particular child or grandchild. Please see Theme Songs & More for details. Russ also writes custom compositions to commemorate special events like weddings, anniversaries, baptism, etc. Please contact us directly if you have a specific occasion or project you would like to discuss.

  • How much does an original "Just My Lullaby" cost?

    An original Just My Lullaby is $150. Imagination Theme Songs are generally $200. There is an additional flat-rate shipping charge of $10 for each order placed at the same time. The musical piece is composed, orchestrated and recorded on 2 beautifully-wrapped, archival-quality CDs.

  • How can I pay for my order?

    We use PayPal to handle all money transactions. You can pay with any major credit card, or use your own PayPal account.

  • When can I expect my Just My Lullaby CDs to arrive?

    It generally takes between 2-4 weeks to write your custom lullaby or Imagination Theme and send it to you. We will notify you when your CDs have shipped. *We do have a RUSH option, if you are unable to wait until the composer would normally be able to begin writing your music. For an additional $100, the process will be expedited as much as possible and you should be able to have your original musical piece in about one week. If the exact date is important to you, please inquire about the composer’s current work schedule before ordering.*

  • Help! This is a GIFT...

    If you are commissioning a lullaby for a baby who has not yet arrived, or a theme song for someone you love, you may choose to have the piece written and sent so that the actual CDs may be wrapped and presented by you. Or, you may choose to purchase a Just My Lullaby gift certificate, which will be promptly mailed to the address you specify. Your loved one will then be able to go online to www.justmylullaby.com to actually order and help customize his or her own song! We ask that gift certificates be redeemed within one year.

  • Who owns the copyright to the music?

    Just My Lullaby retains the copyright to all Just My Lullaby original and arranged music compositions. Permission is granted for the customer to use his or her own commissioned music for non-commercial use (such as on a personal blog site), when the composer's name is posted with it. All music is purchased for private and personal use only. Sole ownership and use of Just My Lullaby original compositions are by additional purchase agreement only. Unauthorized reproduction of Just My Lullaby copyrighted music is strictly prohibited. Any duplication or performance other than for personal use is by purchase agreement or written consent only. Your commissioned Just My Lullaby will never be sold to another party.

  • What is your Return Policy?

    Because each and every Lullaby and theme song is written for one specific person, we cannot accept returns. Russ reads every comment and detail included in an order, and guarantees to do his very best to compose a song that is just right for you or someone you love.   • How is it "just my lullaby" exactly -- in what way is it unique?

    Each lullaby and theme song is written individually for you, and is not “pre-composed” or waiting to be ordered. Russ doesn't even begin the creative process until he's read the title you've chosen, and studied the details you've provided about the person who has inspired the song. Each musical piece also comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity with the composer's date of creation and personal signature. When you listen to your special song you can be confident that it was truly meant just for you!
